"When high school junior Natalie--or Dr. Aphrodite, as she calls herself when writing the relationship column for her school paper--is accused of knowing nothing about guys and giving girls bad relationship advice, she decides to investigate what guys really think and want. But the guys in her class won't give her straight or serious answers. The only solution? Disguising herself as a guy and spending a week at Underwood Academy, the private all-boy boarding school in town. There she learns a lot about guys and girls in ways she never expected--especially when she falls for her dreamy roommate, Emilio. How can she show him she likes him without blowing her cover?"

QUICK OVERVIEW:
Babe in Boyland is a book that only took me hours to read, and mere minutes to love. I was cracking up by the turn of the first page, and emotionally involved by the end of the first chapter. If you're looking for a quick fun read that is hard to put down, check out Babe in Boyland.REVIEW:
There are very few times where a book will having me laughing out loud, or 'loling' if you will. Surprisingly, Babe in Boyland was one of those times. Even more surprising was that even though this book strummed on my funny bone, it was also well-practiced in my heartstrings as well. It wasn't hard to fall for the characters in this story. They all hit very close to home, meaning I knew a few of each of these characters myself. What was great about them was that even though they were familiar, they weren't cheesy or cliche. It allowed me to become attached to a real character that I couldn't see straight through to the author's cheesin' mug.
Okay, about the plot. I know what you're thinking. Do we really need a book version of She's The Man with Amanda Bynes? My first comment is, shame on you! I loved that movie. And my second is, Babe in Boyland isn't really the same as She's The Man. You'd think you'd keep having those flashbacks, but I didn't think of Amanda Bynes once as I was reading this. Babe in Boyland does the girl-turns-boy in a good way that doesn't make you think, "THIS AGAIN?"
Not only is this book funny, but it also has a great underlying message. I will definitely be thinking about this next time I give my hair a twirl or pout out my lips to get what I want.
