Six months...
Since Reggie first discovered the existence of the Vours in a tattered journal. Since her little brother Henry began to mutilate animals and turn against her. Since she learned to overcome her fear and destroyed a Vour to save Henry.
Months later, the Vours still haunt Reggie, but only in her dreams—until one night, when an unexpected visitor turns her nightmares into reality.
Terrifying, nail-biting, and grossly intriguing, readers will devour this thrilling sequel.
REVIEW:
Soulstice was an amazing sequel to its predecessor The Devouring. While I was pretty much in love with The Devouring, I found that Soulstice took everything I didn't like about the first book, and revamped it. The characters grow so much in this book, and now I can kind of see why the first book was a little underdeveloped. If they had had strong personalities in the first book, it wouldn't be such a drastic change when they were finally dealing with the Vours in a very real way whereas in The Devouring, they were only trying to grasp at understanding them. I pretty much love all the characters now, which made this book pretty amazing for me.
The plot was sooo ohmigosh good. It had everything a strong paranormal fiction book should have. It was incredibly creepy, no seriously, the stuff Reggie has to see is spine-shivering. There is also a hint at a love triangle, which anybody who knows me, happens to know are my absolute favorite thing in the world. And this book also takes a lot of twists you didn't see coming (or maybe just didn't want to see coming).
Whether you're up reading because you can't put the book down or whether you're hiding under the covers, this goosebump causing book will have you up all night.
